Low Cost Acupuncture
4 Good Health was set up by Annette and colleague Eileen Gibbon, due to a shared ethos and vision of wanting to find a way to make Acupuncture more accessible to those on a low income. However, individual’s now access 4 Good Health not just because of the lower cost, but due to a preference of wanting treatment in a shared space. 4 Good Health is Sheffield’s multi bed clinic providing friendly, professional, low cost acupunctue.
4 Good Health is now co-run by Lisa Esmonde and Annette Lucas. We continue to keep a close connection with Eileen Gibbon who also offers Chinese Herbal Medicine.
What is a Multi-Bed Clinic?
• A Multi bed clinic treats more than one person in the same room at one time. This means overheads can be reduced and the cost of the session kept low.
• The multi-bed model is successfully used in other parts of the country; the first was The Gateway Clinic established in 1990, in Lambeth Hospital and is funded by the NHS. It is the same way of practicing acupuncture as on wards in modern day China.
• A Multi bed clinic also means you can have acupuncture at the same time as your partner, family member or friend and enjoy the session together!
What is 4 Good Health?
• 4 Good Health is Sheffield’s Multi-disciplinary and Multibed clinic.
• 4 Good Health believes that acupuncture should be available to all.
• 4 Good Health is run and managed by Annette Lucas and Lisa Esmonde who are both fully registered practitioners, teachers of Shiatsu and trained to Post Graduate standard. Acupuncture is recognised by a number of health schemes, such as WESTFIELDS and Simply Health
• 4 Good Health is ground floor with an adjacent bathroom; making it more easily accessible.
• 4 Good Health offers women only sessions
• 4 Good Health also offers low cost Chinese Herbal treatment.
• 4 Good Health offers the same high quality of care as given in one to one sessions

Low Cost Shiatsu and Massage
The multibed is a completely new model of delivering massage therapies in Sheffield. Much in the same way as Acupuncture, it takes place at 4 Good Health clinic in a shared space, with screens to protect your privacy. The shared space means that we can reduce overheads and lower the cost of treatments.
Therapies offered include:
Acupressure Massage, Therapeutic Massage, Facial Gua Sha, Cupping, Hot Stone Massage & Shiatsu.
What is Shiatsu?
Shiatsu, translates as “finger pressure” and is a dynamic, yet subtle, form of Japanese massage practiced on a futon, table or chair.
As with acupuncture, it involves balancing Ki, or energy in the body, but through stretching, gentle joint mobilisations and the tracing of channels, through which Ki flows. It can be very gentle, but also deeply invigorating, and can be safely adapted to work with those suffering from Chronic Ill health conditions to professionsal sports people.
It is practised through clothing, so loose and comfortable clothes are advised. Shiatsu is a deeply relaxing experience and is often preferred by those concerned about having acupuncture needles.
Massage Therapies
Massage involves the use of oil to facilitate work into the body’s tissues to achieve improved health and well being. Trained in various forms of massage, such as Acupressure, Gua Sha, Holistic & Therapeutic Massage and Hot Stone Massage, clients often choose this therapy as they prefer the feeling of warm oil on their skin. Massage involves the integration of various techniques, at a pressure to suit the individual and condition. I naturally integrate my wide training and experience to negotiate a massage session to best suit an individual’s needs.
